Ingredients:
300 g wholemeal spelt flour
250 g Machland sauerkraut bag (jar)
3 pcs eggs
150 ml milk
baking powder
1 tsp cumin ground/crushed
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp thyme
pepper, salt
30 g frying oil (olive / sunflower / rapeseed)
1 medium onion
Procedure:
Finely chop the onion and fry in a pan until golden brown. Prepare a deeper bowl. Add the spelt flour, drained cabbage, whole eggs, milk, baking powder, garlic, spices and a teaspoonful of salt. Stir everything lightly, add the fried onions and stir once more. Line the baking tray with baking paper and fold the prepared mixture into it. Spread evenly over the entire surface. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest for a while.
Can be served both hot and cold. Suitable as a main course or just as a snack.
