Ingredients:
250 g peeled potatoes
1 egg
120 g semi-coarse flour
salt
2 tablespoons oil
1 pcs onion
100 g smoked meat
150-200 g Machland white cabbage bag (or jar)
ground cumin
salt, pepper
Procedure:
Finely grate the potatoes and then mash them. Season with salt, add the eggs and stir in enough flour to make a thin batter. The consistency should resemble mashed potatoes. Push it gradually into the boiling salted water with a special large-mesh sieve and stir gently. When the gnocchi float to the surface (after about 3 minutes), remove them through the sieve and cook another batch. In the meantime, fry the finely chopped onion in the pan, together with the diced smoked meat and white cabbage. Add the cumin, salt and pepper. Stir the hot, drained strips into the prepared mixture and serve immediately.
Tip:
White cabbage can be replaced with sauerkraut. This method is also very good.
